Coming back to the political chaos, Arvind Dharampuri who is an MP from Nizamabad, Telangana wrote to Ravi Shankar Prasad, the Minister of Information Technology, requesting him to initiate an inspection of the relations between Krafton and Tencent.
As mentioned by Zee News, Dharampuri, in his letter to the IT Ministry confessed that he was also sent an appeal about the same from Sai Kumar, who is a local social activist.
Sai Kumar also said that although the data of users of Battlegrounds Mobile India is going to be stored only in India and Singapore, the data transfer is still likely to take place between any international servers.
Also, the Terms of Service of this game are regulated by the South Korean laws as that’s the country Krafton pertains to.
In his demand, he suggested that the IT Minister must work to scrutinize the investments of Krafton along with all the agreements it made with the Chinese company, Tencent.
Abhishek Singhvi, the Congress MP also mentioned that Battlegrounds Mobile India is a way to let Tencent back in India. And this is why the government must ban it.
It is worth throwing light on the fact that all of these politicians are barely concerned about any other elements of the game like anything related to the visual violence or kids getting addicted to Battlegrounds Mobile India again.
